Packers-Ravens flexed to late afternoon on December 19th

Green Bay's showdown with the Bears will remain in prime time despite the Bears still sucking.

Earlier today, the NFL announced that kickoff for the Packers showdown with the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on December 19th has been moved from 1pm to 4:25pm est.

The move makes sense with both teams being quarterbacked by super stars and in contention for the number one overall seed in their respective conferences.

There had been speculation that the Packers prime time game against the Bears on December 12th may be moved out of its current Sunday night slot, but that contest will kick off at 8:20pm est as scheduled.

Packers Bears game will be a dud for the NFL. We here in the cold midwest with nothing else to do but shovel snow and blow our noses that time of year will find it entertaining. A long with a lot of liquor of course.
The Ravens game could get interesting. They are an up and down team this year. One game they look SB worthy, the next like the bears.

I somehow think that the Packers will get the former (SB worthy) at that time of the year.

I hope that after the Rams win that the Packers don't take their foot off the gas though. The superlatives are coming thick and fast from mainstream media as to how the Packers are now the best team in the league. Colin Cowherd and Rich Eisen have been extolling their completeness........... I won't be surprised if Skip Bayless begrudgingly jumps on board.

Eyes on the prize lads...... making the 3rd straight NFCCG is not an accomplishment.

I hope the Bear vs Packers game is absolutely a dud for the NFL. I hope it’s boring because the Bears are being so completely owned, that we are pitching another shutout, and the score is so heavily lopsided towards the Pack that LaFleur comfortably pulls out all our starters midway through the 3d quarter. And I hope the Bears go home wondering what the Packers side of the field even looked like. Unfortunately, like the Vikings, playing us seems to be their Super Bowl, and they want nothing more than to cause us pain. And I will be there to watch it. GPG!

“…despite the Bears still sucking”

Couldn’t you pretty much tack that onto the end of nearly any sentence in the English language, football related or not?

“It remains a rivalry, despite the Bears still sucking.”

“Buck and Aikman found reasons to diss the Pack, despite the Bears still sucking.”

“The sun rose over Chicago this morning, despite the Bears still sucking.”

Brad, are you sure your name isn't Bard?

What a soliloquy! That was pure poetry!

The Bears may still suck for the most part, but if the Packers take them lightly they'll get mauled.

The Bears have always and will always suck. But we need to protect Rodgers in that one, wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to take a shot on him for his comments the last time we played. Unfortunately Danny Trevathan is on IR and done for the season so we do not know who will be taking this cheap shot now.
