Packers Question of the day - Three bold Predictions

I hope all of our readers and writers had a great three-day weekend and a pleasant Labor Day.

We have a work week left until the Packers open up their regular season in Jacksonville against the Jaguars, and the excitement levels couldn't be higher.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense looks to get back into pre-2015 form with Jordy Nelson playing in his first regular season game in over a year and a half. The addition of tight end Jared Cook and a slimmed down Eddie Lacy will also pay dividends for the offense, which is touted to be one of the best in the league in 2016.

The defense is young, hungry and features one of the best safety tandems in football between Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Morgan Burnett. The defensive line, meanwhile is anchored by the underrated Mike Daniels who looks to put together a Pro Bowl year. The front seven rounds out with Clay Matthews and the timeless Julius Peppers on the edges.

With this team in perspective, I want to hear from our readers. Shoot away three bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers in 2016, but hey, keep it somewhat realistic. Some imagination is always nice, but let's stay in the realm of possibilities.

I like to think the Packers offense will be more consistent than the 2011 offense. They won't score more, but they will be able to run with power and put 30 points on just about any team or any defense, unlike 2011.

I definitely think this offense will be much more balanced then the 2011 offense.
They have the ability to run the ball with power and speed.
They have the ability to throw the ball all over the field.
They have the TE that can become a match up nightmare.

I'm looking forward to seeing what our offense does this year.

1. Packers defense carries the team through the early part of the season until the offense finds its rhythm after the bye week.
2. Jared Cook and Ty Montgomery emerge as the go
to weapons for the offense.
3. Packers go 13-3 and earn the #1 seed in the NFC.

4. Josh Sitton is released by the Bears but resigned by the Packers after Lane Taylor suffers a back injury in week 6. LOL.

Have some fun with the predictions.

Everyone is doing stats, so how about some Personnel fun:

1. Taylor does just fine. GB resigns Tretter and Taylor and moves Tretter to RG next year. Lets Lang walk.

2. Bulaga is traded after the year for a 3rd round pick and Spriggs is moved to RT.

3. Peppers retires after winning the super bowl this year. Neither Perry nor Datone pan out and GB is looking for another OLB high in the draft.

1. Rodgers and Hundley are both injured so Callahan takes Pack to Super Bowl in which he throws 6 TDs and goes to Disney World, where he is deemed too short to go on most rides.

2. Jordy re-aggravates knee but Adams catches 100 balls for 1500 TDs and 15 TDs..

3. Lane Taylor makes All-Pro while Sitton sucks and is released by Da Bears midway through the season. TT immediately releases Taylor before he can ask for big money contract.

It's also quite possible.

Lacy has something to prove AND is playing for $$$.

Cobb has said he was disappointed in himself last season, I think he'll be the Randell Cobb of 2014 or better.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if Martinez is DROY. Especially if the Packers have a Top 5 Defense, he'd have a lot to do with that happening.

Taryn, you made fun of me first not realizing my geographic location and lack of reasonable access to the internet. I in turn made fun of you for not knowing what the space bar is. Since then I have commented favorably or not at all to your posts other than that callahan article. Please tell me where I recently commented on gender or sexuality and insulted somebody. I even commented about you when kyler fackrell got drafted. Instead of recognizing the acknowledgment you chose to take it as insulting. You have posted a lot of stupid shit lately and I have bitten my tounge. Please do the same unless you have something reasonably good to say or debate with me.

Sounds about right. The receivers are better, but offensive line worse, obviously. Overall, only slight improvement on offense.

On defense, the secondary will be outstanding, maybe the best in football. However, the defensive line is average and the linebackers below. So, not much improvement, overall, on defense.

Packers will win the division, but not get a #1 or #2 seed. They'll win the first playoff game at home, but then get smoked by either Carolina or Seattle on the road.

1) Due to increased level of play at the NT position with guion and Pennel as opposed to Bj raji, by the half way point of the season the Packers' inside linebackers' stats won't be as impressive as most might have thought...not because of poor ILB play, but rather Because running backs will be getting turned outside, where nick perry will be racking up a lot of tackles.

2) in related news, packers run defense will crack the top ten.

3) with increased edge pressure drawing nimble protectors to the edges, Packers will have 10 sacks come from "A" gap blitzing by week 8, a mix of stunts from edge personnel, ILBs and safety blitzes.

2. Cheesemail scandal rocks titletown. Russians hack the Packers' computer (they meant to destroy America's Team, and, IMO rightly, targeted GB instead of Dallas. They find:
a) Zook to wife: Go ahead with the in ground swimming pool. I'm golden here in GB for another few years - I can't be as terrible as Slocum and look how long he lasted in GB.
b) List of mnemonic words: Fundamentals, pad level, trust, playbook, football player; use 'and frankly' or 'obviously' to convey spurious sincerity;
c) Sam Gash to Lacy: I think you'd be more effective at 265 lbs. Can you gain some weight?
d) Fontenot to RR: If you are going to make it in the NFL, work on being a vertical threat, not on blocking;
e) Van Pelt to Adams: Hey, I recommend these gloves for you to wear - they're stylish: really slick! cc to Shields, Cobb and Starks.
f) TT to Ball: Yeah, okay, just make sure the last year of the deal doesn't have any guaranteed money.
g) TT to Dir of Pro Scouting (using MM's account): remind me to give you my email address and telephone number. Till then, just keep reporting to Andrew Kinn or Elliot. And obviously, we frankly value your reports highly.
h-v) TT to Ball: He wants HOW MUCH? !!!
w) TT to Wolf: Wouldn't mind otherwise, but we can't sign Pot Roast if he insists on rooming with Lacy.
y) TT: send intern to the local paper; have him write some graffiti on the stall & sign MM's name so the writers have a source.
z) TT to Ball: can you find a loophole in the 90% of the cap nonsense.
aa) TT's laptop contains scouting reports only from the west coast scout, and TT's own notes on players for the rest of the country.
bb) Thousands of emails with just one word: No.

3. Email from MM to intern: Yeah, I forgot the prescription. You won't need it. Just tell the pharmacist who TT is cutting now, and you'll need a wheelbarrow to transport the pills.

4. New thinking among veteran players: Bawling out a teammate for an error is leadership while I'm still on the roster; after I'm cut it is being a cancer in the locker room.
