Packers place Marquez Valdes-Scantling on injured reserve

The team also elevated Equanimeous St. Brown from the practice squad.

The Packers announced on Saturday afternoon that wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be placed on injured reserve. The veteran wide receiver will need to miss a minimum of three weeks.

MVS missed practice this week with a hamstring injury he sustained toward the end of last Sunday night's win over the San Francisco 49ers.

In addition to the MVS move, the Packers announced they have elevated wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. EQ will serve as a COVID-19 replacement, presumably due to Tyler Lancaster being placed on the Covid reserve list earlier this week.

Too bad for MVS, but great opportunity for EQ to finally get a chance to show what he can do.

I hate to say it when the guy get injured but the truth is MVS has been an on then off player. Yes he has speed that is almost unmatchable but his performance has not matched that great speed (being kind). Lets just hope St Brown can add the spark we kept waiting for from MVS.
Hit him a few times A.R., lets see what he's got....

Good thing MVS will be back! Plus, Rodgers doesn't appear to use anyone other than DA anyway. LOL!

ESB has 9 lives! Guy has lots of talent and this is his chance to finally show what he has. Many on here thought he should be let go but fortunately (I hope) the Packers hung on to him. I firmly believe he can adequately replace MVS but 3 things have to happen.

First, LF has to play him. Secondly, Rodgers needs to throw to him. Lastly, ESB needs to stay healthy and on the field.

I remain hopeful about EQ!

Losing MVS deep speed hurts. ESB, it's now your time to show up and show your skills.

You can block, you can gain separation and you can rack up YAC.

But remember, you have to catch the damn ball to have the most impact.
