Packers hire Butch Barry as senior assistant

Barry was most recently the offensive line coach at the University of Miami

No word on a wide receivers coach yet, unless Barry is making the jump from o-line to wideouts.

Barry was most recently the offensive line coach at the University of Miami last season. He has also been an assistant offensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Well, it's hard not to like a Packer's hire who quotes Lombardi! :)

Maybe the team misses Campen?~ In any case, my first thought was that the scheme that Matt wants to run needs some fine tuning and another set of eyes and coaching might help. Now I wonder what is holding up the choice for a WRs coach?

Good Hire. Moving on from Bulaga will require more input, coaching, and ability. This signals more running! . Something Campen didn't have to teach.

Is it? He was canned after 1 season at Miami. The offensive line was putrid and the main reason the Miami Hurricanes stunk and were 6-7. Leading to his firing and that of the OC. They gave up 10 sacks to Florida in their opener and showed no improvement as the year went on playing in the worst division of power 5 football (ACC coastal).

I'm just curious! How about going after Jonathan Taylor if we miss out on Murray?

There's not a lot of information on this guy. So far I LOVE the Jerry Gray hire for the DB's but this is just sort of MEH but Patricks right...Another set of eyes can't hurt.

I'm am starting to get a little anxious about who the WR coach will be though. FA and the draft right around the corner and the staff isn't complete?

Hmmm..

My guess is: It’s not what you know but who you know.
His pedigree is nothing special. He played O line at Central Michigan. After graduating he bounced around a number of Universities and because of an old contact, he landed a job with the Tampa Bay Bucs. Then back to the college ranks and now with the Packers. Watch and see, it will come out that he met someone somewhere that knew something that got him this job. He is originally from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, so, welcome home! Good luck with your new job.

The main thing is to hire real professionals. Even if it's a college coach. I recently wrote a paper about the importance of personal brand in a professional career with https://ca.edubirdie.com/personal-statement-writing-service and just talked about similar examples. Therefore, there is no need to negatively judge a person in advance, before you see the result of his work.
