Packers claim WR Travis Fulgham off waivers from Detroit

The former sixth round pick had a productuve senior season at Old Dominion.

From the league's transaction wire, the Packers have claimed wide receiver Travis Fulgham off waivers from Detroit.

The 6-foot-2 receiver out of Old Dominion was a sixth round pick for Detroit last year. He spent most of last season on the Lions practice squad prior to being called up to the active roster last December.

At Old Dominion, he had a productive senior year, catching 63 passes for 1,083 yards (a 17.2 average) and nine touchdowns in 2018. This included a monster game against Virginia Tech where he hauled in nine receptions for 188 yards and a touchdown.

He runs a 4.58 40.

As a corresponding move, the Packers released OLB Jamal Davis, who they had claimed off waivers from Miami prior to the draft.

4.58. That’s some LaDarius Gunter-like speed.

Makes me feel better about Begs at 4.53.

Head in hands.

First, it's Davante. Second, look at the rest of Davante's testing numbers at the combine. And more importantly, look at his college production.

Completely different.

I wouldn't read too much into it. While it certainly doesn't hurt to take a look (gamble) on these castoffs....see Lazard....the odds of them making the team is very low. Besides, camp bodies are needed this time of year.

Yup. More shuffling at the bottom of the roster. This kind of churn needs to be happening all the time...

Gutekunst is delusional. The team is one game from the Super Bowl and the clock on A-Rod is ticking and this brain surgeon passes on ILB Queen or a stud WR for a QB who is a Second Round pick at best or Third Round. Same in the Second Round. Very frustrating when New England goes for the Super Bowl every season and worries about next year, next year. Genes, SIX RINGS.

You are correct it seems the passive kneeling Packer fans are just happy making the playoffs.

Great strategy. Come on a Packer site and insult their fans. Don't you have a NY team you can follow/bash on?

In stead of looking for a WR it is time for Mark Murphy to earn his keep and look for a new GM. Gutey is not cutting it.

Going 14-4 last year definitely deserves a pink slip in your book I guess.
