Packers activate Trevor Davis off Injured Reserve
The Packers made the move official in advance of the showdown with the Seahawks on Thursday night.

The Green Bay Packers have had what could charitably described as a milquetoast return game so far in 2018.
They hope their latest roster move changes that.
The Packers made the move head coach Mike McCarthy alluded to last week, announcing Thursday afternoon that they had activated wide receiver Trevor Davis off injured reserve.
Davis, a 6-foot-1, 188-pound third-year player out of the University of California, was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 11. The former fifth-round pick has played in 27 regular-season games and two postseason contests for the Packers. Davis was one of only three players in the league (Pharoh Cooper and Andre Roberts) to rank in the top 10 in the NFL in both punt-return average (No. 2, 12.2 yards) and kickoff-return average (No. 9, 22.7 yards) from 2016-17.
The team was not required to make a corresponding move since it had an open roster spot on its 53 man roster.

This is great great news. Davis is a great return guy. This might be enough to go from Fire Zook to Hire Zook. Al knows what this means during the live games. haha

Will his “return to greatness” be called back due to an illegal block below the waist?

Or a boneheaded leave on the 2 yard line. I hope this works out but I have trouble getting past prior head scratchers.

Illegal block in the back.
Or a hold.

I hope he only gets to return 1 kickoff and about 8 punts tonight.

Good news. We can only hope someone within the football club will address ball security and pad level with the young man prior to the contest tonight.

All roads lead to pad level.

I'm sure they wouldn't have activated him if he wasn't ready but I worry about the impact of rust and how effective he can be fielding punts in live game action for the first time vs. catching them in practice. We shall see shortly.
