I have a question for a future Q&A.

When it comes to cutting down the roster to 53 I'm wondering who makes most of the decisions ?

In theory the top decision-maker is Gutekunst and if push comes to shove he makes the final call. That's pretty clear.

What I'm guessing though, is that in practice La Fleur makes the majority of the calls, after talking to his position coaches and co-ordinators. Sure he will discuss all his decisions with Gute, that would be prudent and normal, but I feel he makes most calls.

This thinking does not apply to ALL the players on the roster. Those players with a high cap, or ones who have reached a third contract, or where there is a question of declining ability due to age, or the frequently injured, (or any combination of the above) are decisions (imo) where Gute, with cap advice from Ball, makes the call.
