I will start this by saying GB should resist any inkling of trading up for a player because we can't afford to lose 2 other picks. Let the draft come to us, move back a little if a trade is available for more picks. So because they will be selected brfore #52, we can scratch Hood and Johnson. GB needs more picks not less.
Eliminate the top 5-6 CBs as they will surely be gone. The CBs we should be talking about are the ones who likely will be there. Chris Johnson might be the highest rated CB available, probably not.
The most likely highest rated CBs available that GB should want are:
Julian Neal-#2 for me
Davison Igbinosun-#1 for me
Will Lee
Malik Muhammed
Charles Demmings#4 for me
Daylen Everette-#3 for me
Tacario Davis
Devin Moore
Ephesians Prysock
These are the guys we will pick from if we pick 1 from #84 to #120, because GB will grab a starting Edge rusher @ #52 if Gabe Jacas or Dani Dennis-Sutton are still available. Either would start Day 1 in 2026, any CB we take will have a solid chance to start over Valentine or St Juste.
GB should also add at least another FA CB to upgrade the other 4 we have as backups. These type of players get $1 million each anyway so why not start fresh with new players that have more upside, better measurables.

With a first name like Ephesians, Prysock sounds like he'll fit right in with GB culture.
With only 7 picks, overall strategy seems simple:
2 CB
2 or 3 of OL / TE
2 or 3 of NT / DT / EDGE
Already having 1 more pick gives a little flexibility to maybe get another position, but I'd rather see more of these positions, trying to be sure to improve both trenches and CB. Both depth and future pipeline matter. (Yes a #9 clone is tempting)
Agreed that more picks not fewer seems like the ticket. Could trade back slightly from 52, then up some from 80. Seems like a sweet spot of this draft for our needs ...
(I make no prediction about what Gutey might do, I'm just trying to enjoy silly season)

Cisse had a horrible shuttle and didn’t do the 3 cone. He might work with Hafley, but that’s truly worrying lack of ability to change direction. In any case Hafley and his system have left. It’s actually a tad worse than the, in your words, “stiff” Igbinosun put up. In a quarters system that won’t fly. Not my pick despite his straight line speed.
At least Igbinosun has length (height and wingspan) to counter that, though his ten yard is a negative Cisse does t have. Cisse has also got a reputation for being grabby, which you point out is a risk (but not when talking of Cisse). Kind of a credibility killer for me. Cisse is a man corner who is very stiff hipped and grabby. A taller but not as fast in a straight line Ahmad Carroll? Probably not, but a risk.

None-
I think you did a great breakdown.
The cost would be too high to go up.
But I'm surprised Chares Demmings
was not brought into your 5.
He's gone from 150 to a top 100.
The packers brought him in.
