HOU has long been an intriguing trade back spot, especially given they have two late 2nds. The sweet spot in the draft for me though seems to be the first half of round two. My fav scenario is a QB needy team that wants the 5th year option that only the first round can offer, and pays a premium trading up to #30 for a 2nd & 3rd. DEN CIN MIA WAS all in the loop. Hopefully Rosen is not traded to one of those teams, nor NE as that takes away our leverage sitting 2 spots in front of them to close out the first round.

Yeah, that's a pretty cool idea. It gives us Fant @12 and an additional rd3 pick (probably 72 from Cinn). My problem is that I've kinda fallen in love with Long, Savage, Morgan Jr and Pierscbacher, and your version of trading back makes those picks iffy? Still, it's a valid trade-back option...

Problem fixed: combine your trade (GB 30 for Cinn 42 and 72) with a trade up with KC (GB 75+118 for KC 61 ) and my scenario almost works out:
12 Fant TE
42 Lindstrom OL
44 Jackson EDGE
61 Long CB
72 Savage S
114 Morgan Jr WR
150 Nijman OL (I prefer Pierscbacher, but he will be gone by 150)

3rd round sure pick
Andy Isabella
While Isabella lacks in overall size (5-9, 188), he has major speed (4.31) and quickness and a history of big-time production. Last season, Isabella caught 102 passes for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns. He not only earned Pro Football Focus’ top overall grade among receivers and the top receiving grade among all players in 2018, but he finished as the site’s sixth-best college player overall last season, trailing only Quinnen Williams, Kyler Murray, Christian Wilkins, Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence.

@12 Oliver goes early, and Wilkins DT might not make it by Buffalo now. I still think Buffalo goes OT. But if their not there. Bush would be my pick. Summers TCU is a ILB. ( fast) . And was selected because they need a ILB. I also think Adderley could be taken then. But my preference is still Simmons @30. At some point the packers must take a DL. The draft will not produce a starter unless they take Oliver or Wilkens.

The best draft approach is to communicate well with other teams and be open minded about all the opportunities in front of you. Last years trades with NO and SEA netted GB about 300 points on Draftteks value chart (the equivalent of a late second round pick). Picking up additional value like that is how great teams are built.

So if there's a similar offer on the table, I hope Gute makes the trade again. Here are the historical picks at #12. Very few of these guys turned out to be franchise changing players and there are many names that were complete busts. Odds are that most of the top guys we're discussing are going to be far from game-changing. If someone is willing to give GB value in a trade, I hope Gute makes that deal again.
