For most Packers fans, the reason that they are fans is personal and important to who they are. As a transplant, it's something that I struggle to explain to those who don't have that same relationship with their team. 

On the NFL Network before the Packers kick off against the Bears on Thursday night, NBC News political director throws aside politics to unite with all Packers fans as he shares why he's a Packer fan. 

Todd's last line will probably hit close to home for a number of fans:

“My father isn’t with me anymore, so for me, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, sitting and watching the Green Bay Packers is yet another way for me to be hanging out with my late father. And that’s the best reason in the world to be a Packers fan.”
