And if Rodgers is traded because he really didn't want to play in GB anymore, is the media still corrupt?

If rumors are true I for one don’t blame Rodgers for wanting out. We were one player away last year and that player wasn’t Jordan love, now they won’t extend him to keep their options open. Rodgers is doing what I’d do, I’d make the decision myself rather than wait on the packers, plenty of teams will go all in like Tampa did with Brady. Weirdly it’s the exact opposite scenario from farve. The packers got wishy washy and Rodgers wants out,

He must be as tired as I am coming up short. Trade him to the 49ers and let him win a few rings. He won't do it here.

And Rodgers had nothing to do with them coming up short?

Other than 2010, what NFCC game did Rodgers take over? Not saying they lost because of him, just saying in none of those games (Seattle, Atlanta, SF, TB) did Rodgers exactly play lights out. Rodgers/GB 1-4 in those games. It's a team sport. Rodgers has as much blame as anyone.

"We were one player away last year and that player wasn’t Jordan love, now they won’t extend him to keep their options open."

Really? And who was that one player?

As far as not extending him, reports are they tried and he turned them down.

I get it, he wants out, which is his prerogative. Makes no sense to trade him before June 1. It would have devastating ramifications to the cap.

We lost by 5 points, a corner that doesn’t get beat, any wr that can get open, at least 4 on the board, let me count the players...but even an average player could of made a tackle on fournette...I get it a t hindsight 20/20. Doesn’t change the fact. Gute saw love liked him, and he may well turn out to be good, let’s hope. But short term, that draft cost us
a Super Bowl.

Going back to the 2007 NFCC game, GB is 1-5 in those games with two HOF QBs and two different GMs and coaching staffs. Not sure why they do great in the regular season but come up short in the big game.

But let's blame some un-picked, un-named draft pick for the latest loss. Favre sucked in the 2007 game and Rodgers has been pedestrian in 4 of the 5 games he started. This has nothing to do with the Jordan Love pick. There is absolutely no way of knowing if GB had drafted someone else if that player would have made a difference.

I know for a fact Jordan love did not help us at all last year, not one bit, I also know for a fact anyone drafted in the first round would of made us better other than Jordan love. That’s just fact.

I agree, but saying the pick cost us a Super Bowl is an opinion, not a fact.

There is no way of knowing if whoever they would have picked would have made a difference, or even played, in that game.

That one llayer was Justin Jefferson. Needed to trade above the Vikings to get him. Instead we waited until later and traded up for Love. Time will tell if Love was worth it.

Really? farve threatened retirement for 5 years? Rodgers wants to play till 40 plus. Wishy washy might be the wrong phase, maybe they just thought they could have it all and Rodgers would just go a long till THEY decided love was ready or wasn’t. I don’t blame Rodgers for wanting to take control. Don’t even blame gute necessarily, he took his shot n love. He knew all the possible outcomes when he did. I’m just stating facts. I hope love kicks butt for twenty years. Short term it backfired on gute, that’s a fact.

Yes, really. I took the Packers side back then and I'll take it again now. I root for the jersey, not the guy that fills it. That jersey will get filled by someone long after the guys filling it now are gone.

In the end, both got their feelings hurt when a business executed a continuity plan. To be sure, Rodgers is more polished and calculated while Favre was more blunt and direct. But this coming out today ends forever that Rodgers is any different, at least in my mind. It's bush league crap.

My opinion is farve was wishy washy, didn’t blame the packers at all for moving on and drafting Rodgers, this time around it’s the opposite. Don’t blame Rodgers at all, he was steady, a rock, wanted to be a packer and play till 40 plus. The packers wanted options. I don’t necessarily even blame the packers this time, but they definitely instigated this one

It didn't have to be a player in the draft. They could have traded the first round pick for vet help if they were just going to piss it away on a player inactive every week anyway.

Exactly what I thought when the pick was made. I think the Packers taking Stokes is just a backup, and if they end up with both that's great. I believe the trade will go down. Rodgers is bitter and stubborn. The fact they tried to add years and he refused to me is the writing on the wall.

Gutey is talking how it’s going to be hard for undrafted players to make it....the roster is larger than it usually is, why add bodies? Get playmakers not bodies.

Packers will be fine next year though they may have to start someone at qb and hope he’s the next Rodgers/ favre. If not for once the bears make us look silly or maybe the lions which is the worst thought. Rodgers has an ego but our gm may have topped it!

F'd... we are totally F'd... second round picks like Josh Jackson. First round picks like Jordan Love. Then we lose to old man Brady and a nowhere team that went all for him in a game the Packers could have won. The stick cloud will hover over Lambeau longer than Murphy, Gutekunst, Jordan Love, and Aaron Rodgers are in the league. Apparently, nobody is playing to win Super Bowls now.

I just want to thank you, Aaron & Corey, and the CHTV staff for the Draft Party last night. I had never jumped in on one before, and man, that proved to be a godsend after the news we had yesterday afternoon.

You all did such a great, admirable job, and you made the night fun. Super cool having Kenny Clark, Jace Sternberger, Bak and THE GRAVEDIGGER join in too. I can't tell you how much that meant, and how much fun it was to be a part of. The Sternberger story on Clowney ROCKED! Way to go, Aaron, asking him to share.

Joey, the ROCK STAR!!!! Comin' in hot for Wes' job!!! That was hilarious.

THANK YOU ALL, CHTV!!! Well done!!!!
