I like him Aaron but I rather draft an inside backer which is more of a necessity. Ty Summers can maybe fill in for Fackerall. So outside backer I don’t believe is a priority.

In the NFL Summers is strictly an ILB. Summers was drafted for his ST value and to be groomed as a backup ILB. If he becomes a starter all the better, but mostly he should be seen as a backup ILB. His game and Fackrell's are very different. Their body types are also vastly different. Fackrell being more suited for OLB due to his length and Summers being suited for ILB, due to his lack of length.

baun can play inside or outside plus is good in coverage he is probably the closest thing to a middle linebacker that green bay would take in the 1st . Just me but I think they would rather draft one of the big safeties an have one linebacker on the field an three safties

First, after the humiliating defeats by SF, I would hope they want to start getting 2 ILB on the field regularly. They did draft Burks for the WILB role and to be on the field on all 3 downs. Hopefully he takes a leap this year, but we clearly can't count on that at this point. If they can find a ILB that can play good coverage they would probably perfer to have 2 ILB on the field on almost every down but the way the roster worked the last 2 years, they didn't have a good alternative as an ILB that can hold up in coverage..

Either way if they are going to get better stopping the run the Front 7 has to play w/ gap discipline. That was completely lacking last year as the DL and pass rushers basically played the run as an afterthought while they were trying to "affect the QB". Gap discipline will determine whether they improve vs the run more than another DL or ILB will.

Can't make up my mind about him. I'd be a little more pumped if he had a little more speed for coverage. I'm also not sure about exactly how many hurdles he will face translating to ILB. The role is different. The skills needed are a little different. He could do it but it may take some time.

I think Baun has the skill set to play ILB in the NFL, more than Schobert did honestly. But like you I'm not sold on him at #30 simply because he's a bit of a projection to ILB. But he does have the skill set for dropping in coverage and playing the run from ILB. He did those things enough to know he can do it, he just wasn't asked to do it enough to know. Still have him anytime in rd 2, not quite sold at #30, but I'm getting closer. I wouldn't be upset if they took him at #30, tho I'd prefer to move down 5-8 spots to get him.
