Steelers Spaeth, Colon Sign RFA Tenders

Adam Caplan of Scout.com reports Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Matt Spaeth has signed his one-year tender, and Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports Steelers tackle Willie Colon has signed his, as well.

Spaeth was a third-round pick (77th overall) out of the University of Minnesota in 2007. In 46 games, including 23 starts, the 6-7, 270-pound blocking tight end has 27 receptions for 195 yards and four touchdowns. The Steelers tenders Spaeth at the "Original Round" level, and barring a contract extension, the former Golden Gopher will earn $1.101 million dollars in 2010.

Colon was a fourth-round pick (131st overall) by the Steelers in 2006, and as the team's starting right tackle, was tendered at the "First Round" level, which carries a $2.521 million dollar base salary this season. The former Hofstra standout has started 50 consecutive games for the Steelers, including all 16 last season, which he also played under a one-year, restricted free agent tender.

Cornerback William Gay and punter Daniel Sepulveda, the Steelers other two restricted free agents, have yet to sign their one-year tenders.
