Seahawks "Have Eye" on Bills RB Marshawn Lynch

Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that the Seattle Seahawks are "very interested" in acquiring running back Marshawn Lynch from the Buffalo Bills.

I remain skeptical for two reasons:

1. Seattle's need for a running back is overstated. There is nothing Marshawn Lynch can do that Julius Jones, Justin Forsett, Leon Washington, or Quinton Ganther can't.

2. The Seahawks just released LenDale White, a running back with a lot of baggage whose response to a fresh start was to act as if he were back on scholarship at USC. Why would the Seahawks trade anything of value for Marshawn Lynch, whose response to losing not only his starting job to Fred Jackson, but the #2 job to C.J. Spiller, was to demand a new contract and skip the team's voluntary workouts?

If putting forth a consistent message in their first year occupying the important offices of the VMAC is of any importance to Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider, acquiring Marshawn Lynch is not something they should give any serious consideration to.
