Scaife Absent From Titans' Workouts

Tennessee Titans restricted free agent tight end Bo Scaife has signed his one-year tender, but has been absent from team's off-season workout program, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Scaife, a sixth-round pick (179th overall) out of Texas by the Titans in 2005, was tendered at the first-round level. In 76 career games, Scaife has 215 receptions for 2,065 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Barring a contract extension, Scaife, who caught 45 passes for 440 yards and a touchdown last season, has a $4.9 million dollar base salary for 2010, 110% of the $4.462 million dollars he earned playing under the one-year franchise tag in 2009.
The restricted free agent tender, like the franchise tag, offers the player no financial incentive to participate in the voluntary off-season workout program. Wyatt adds that, thus far, Titans head coach Jeff Fisher doesn't appear concerned about Scaife's absence.
"Obviously we wanted to have Alge back, but Craig is having a great offseason and Jared is working out well," Fisher said. "And we expect to have Bo back, playing."
