Cowboys' Hatcher, Siavii Sign RFA Tenders

Dallas Cowboys restricted free agent defensive linemen Jason Hatcher and Junior Siavii have signed their one-year tenders, reports David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

Hatcher, a 6-6, 298-pound defensive end from Grambling who the Cowboys chose in the third-round (92nd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft, was tendered at the second-round level, and will earn a base salary of $1.759 million dollars in 2010. Hatcher has appeared in 62 games for the Cowboys over the last four seasons, totaling 72 tackles and 6.5 quarterback sacks.

Siavii, who played his college ball at the University of Oregon, was a second-round pick (36th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. After appearing in 26 games over two seasons for the Chiefs, Siavii was waived before the start of the 2006 season.

The Cowboys signed Siavii to a "Reserve/Futures" contract in 2008, but waived him at the end of training camp. Siavii was re-signed last January, and appeared in all 16 games last season, totaling 11 tackles. In the playoffs, Siavii added three tackles, including one for a loss.

Dallas tendered Siavii at the "Original Round" level, which for a player with three (3) accrued seasons, carries a base salary of $1.101 million dollars for 2010.

Hatcher and Siavii are the fourth and fifth Cowboys' restricted free agent to sign their tenders, joining defensive end Marcus Spears and offensive linemen Pat McQuistan and Cory Procter. Still unsigned are wide receivers Miles Austin and Sam Hurd, defensive end Stephen Bowen, offensive lineman Duke Preston, and safeties Gerald Sensabaugh and Pat Watkins.
