Chiefs Scoop Up John Russell

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have signed linebacker John Russell.

Russell was waived last week by the Green Bay Packers, who had signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest in April. With Russell's size (6-3, 280) and strength (30 reps on bench press at pro day), one would think that Russell will play defensive end in the Chiefs' 3-4 system.

To make room for Russell, the Chiefs waived undrafted guard Andrew Lewis.
