Bills Lose Parrish, Davis For Season

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Roscoe Parrish's breakout season will come to a close, as a broken wrist will land him on injured reserve, head coach Chan Gailey announced on Monday.

A second-round pick out of Miami in 2005, Parrish caught 100 passes for 1,086 yards and 5 touchdowns during his first five seasons in the NFL. After starting just six of 67 games headed into this season, the 5-9, 178-pound Parrish has started six of eight games this season, catching 33 passes for a career-high 400 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Parrish also has a career-high 23 yards rushing, and has re-emerged as a solid punt return threat, averaging 10.9 yards on 12 returns. Parrish was one the NFL's most dangerous return men between 2005-08, averaging over 11 yards per return each season and scoring three touchdowns before struggling to a 5.5-yard average last season.

The Bills also placed linebacker Andra Davis on injured reserve on Monday.

Davis has been playing with a torn labrum in his shoulder, which kept him out of Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Chicago Bears. The 31-year old has 41 tackles and an interception this season, his first with the Bills after being released by the Denver Broncos in March.

Running back Quinton Ganther has been signed to the Bills' 53-man roster.
