49ers G David Baas Signs RFA Tender

San Francisco 49ers restricted free agent guard David Baas has signed his one-year tender, the team announced on Tuesday.

A second-round pick (33rd overall) out of Michigan in 2005, Baas started 16 games for the 49ers last season, and has started 38 of 76 games during his career. Baas was tendered at the "Original Round" level, which will pay him a $1.226 million dollar base salary in 2010.

Baas, along with linebacker Ahmad Brooks, had signed an "injury protection" waiver and had been participating in the team's off-season workouts, including the team's two-day mini-camp at the end of March. Brooks has since signed a two-year extension, and with the deadline for restricted free agents two days away, and no offer sheets from other teams expected, Baas has opted to sign his tender.
