Video: McCarthy's Adjustments In A Post-Jordy World

A quick look at how all is not lost for a Packers offense without Jordy Nelson.

I put this together over at the day job and thought I'd share it with you fine folks.

Anybody else wonder why Allan wears a Steelers jersey?

Good stuff, Aaron. I'm actually really excited to see how Mike adjusts and how the young fellas perform / step up. Losing Jordy sucks, but am I crazy to think this may be worrisome to opposing DC's early in the season, possibly even more so than a healthy Nelson? I probably am, but they just can't know what to expect, or who to expect it from as consistently... right?

I'm excited for this offense! Janis, White, Montgomery, Rodgers... Abby? One of them may just be a star by the end of the season.

I said this the day after Jordy's injury. The passing game still rests on Rodgers since a great QB makes his receivers better. Montgomery and Janis will be put in positions to succeed: rotated depending play calls and game plans to play to their strengths, especially early in the season.

Lacy and the running game will get more opportunities, which means Kuhn's snaps go up significantly too. His versatility and knowledge of the playbook will be invaluable. Both will be used more in the run and passing game.

R. Rodgers and Quarless will get increased workload and see more double TE sets.

Its a matter of each player on the offensive side of the ball taking just a bit more to make up for Jordy's loss.

Cobb will have a great season if he can match last years production. Adams has to at least double, his production. About 35-40 rec and 450- 600 yds from Montgomery and Janis.

Good review and right to the center with pointing out what we forget. Aaron was the best QB in dispersing his throws to different targets few years ago, not to mention the game against Steelers (SB) where Aaron threw the ball to 13 different receivers. It is hard to cover that on D, isn't it?
And, that is why I really thinks they'll keep 5 RB/FB and 6 WR, with only 2 TE (2 TE will be on PS!, activated while Andrew will serving suspension)...
Today late afternoon we will see if I'm right!
