Video: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix's Finest Moment at Alabama

An interception against Mississippi State displays the potential Clinton-Dix possesses as a centerfield safety with range.

One of my reservations about Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is an unfortunately high percentage of his interceptions coming off tipped balls in college.

Certainly, there's something to be said about being in the right place at the right time, but without a lucky deflection by his teammtes, several of his turnovers wouldn't have happened.

However, there's one moment during Clinton-Dix's time at Alabama that sticks out above all others and gives a glimpse of his potential as a centerfield safety with incredible range.

Cited in last night's knee-jerk reaction podcast, Clinton-Dix intercepts a pass as the Tide were nursing a 10-point lead late in the third quarter of their 2013 meeting on the road at Mississippi State.

Clinton-Dix has man coverage responsibilites on the inside slot receiver, the Bulldogs' leading receiver, Jameon Lewis.

At 6' 1" Clinton-Dix has four inches on Lewis, but he displays terrific recovery speed after getting beat by step to catch up to Lewis and maintains his inside position to come away with the interception in the end zone.

Thanks to the terffic folks at DraftBreakdown.com, I was able to cue the video up to the precise moment of Clinton-Dix's interception, which also includes end zone footage.
