Tulane Reportedly Interested In Philbin

ESPN reports that the university is interested in the Packers offensive coordinator for their head coaching position.

During ESPN's Monday Night Countdown, Adam Schefter reported that Tulane has interest in Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin for their head coaching position.

As many people have commented this evening, its hard to see Philbin leaving the Packers for a moribund Tulane program. There's also the question of what the level of interest actually is in Philbin, who as we all know is an offensive coordinator who does not call his teams plays, though he does have heavy input into the gameplan each week.

On a separate note, its nice to see McCarthy's staff being recognized for their stellar work - and you can expect to see more headlines like this as the year goes on.

I worry about Clements leaving. He's AR12's security blanket. Underrated, unheralded coach. If I were a team with a young developmental QB (cough MN, cough JAX, cough any team that drafts Luck), I'd back up a truck full of money and lure Clements as my O-coordinator just so he works with my QB.
