Think About This

Craig Nall could be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

I know, I know, no, no, I'm not breaking any news here. I'm just trying to get myself (and you, dear readers) ready for the worst case scenario, if it should happen. Favre is saying all the right things, as is McCarthy, but something doesn't feel right. Perhaps they're just being coy with Favre's status to play with the Raiders coaching staff, but the truth is Aaron Rodgers' injury makes this a very scary scenario. Yes, Nall has played for Green Bay before - under Mike Sherman, who ran an offense with completely different terminology and emphasis. It took well over a year and half for Favre and Rodgers to become comfortable with it. And now Nall, who hasn't thrown a regular season pass since he played for the Packers, could be asked to run the offense after less than a week's prep time?

Needless to say, regardless of who starts under center, we'll be seeing a whole lot of one young Mr. Ryan Grant come Sunday afternoon...
