Not having #69 when we played the Bucs in the NFC Championship game was the only reason that we did not bring the Lombardi Trophy home in 2020. Thank you DB for your professionalism and representing the green and gold proudly. Good luck in the future

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile, because it happened. Classy way to go out. Seems not long ago that this 4th round rookie from Colorado was turning heads in camp with his great pass pro reps vs. Clay Matthews. All the best to David.

We all saw it coming but that doesn't mean it isn't tough to hear.

So thankful for the good years he gave us and I'm really hopeful he has the chance to suit up and show he still has gas left in the tank of that is the direction he wants to take.

Any chance this is it for David? Will the Knee injury prevent passing a physical?

All the very best to a great Packer player. David B did give it his all and did sacrifice his body and health to be one of those best at his position type guys in football. Green Bay fans were lucky to have him here with the Packers.

If he still has gas in the tank and the ability to play at his usual high level, I hope he finds fulfillment somewhere in the league. Most of all I wish for him to have good health just moving on in life and family. Football is just a part of his life, eleven years at this point. May the rest be blessed and healthy.

He was a face-up card, not a hidden one.

Also very, very good at his job.

Inevitable but still sad to hear. I'm guessing that another team will sign him to an incentive-laden deal, but it will be a challenge for his knee to allow him to make the roster on opening day.

What a classy guy as a player, as an interviewee, with his attitude towards the fans. What a treat it has been to have David at LT for as long as we did. He wasn't drafted to start as a rookie but Bryan Bulaga tore his ACL in August and Derek Sherrod was never really healthy, so D Bakh took over as a rookie and never gave it up. When Bulaga came back, he came back on the right side. The team decided not to move Bulaga to LT because #69 handled the position so well.

Congrats to David on a great career in green and gold. Wish he could have hoisted a trophy! Best wishes for being able to be on the field for someone else! He worked his ass off to get back; did everything anyone could ask.

Lock as a Packer HOFer and maybe Pro Football HOF. Gonna miss him!

Sure looks like the Packers are 100% in on Rasheed Walker as the left tackle of the future. I'm not disappointed in that! Possibly going to draft a couple tackle prospects later in the draft. Just my unprofessional opinion based on years of superfluidity and ignorance!

Unfortunate, but not surprising. He's apparently not the same as he was before the surgeries.

I was always defending David, also in the moments during the last postseason when he had few interviews.

I always liked personalities who will tell you what is on his mind w/o fear how you might got it. Those kind of people do not playing games with others or trying to manipulate those others to get something for themselves.

My favorit veteran on the Packers team...

This day has been a long time coming, but I'm relieved that it's finally happened. I loved Bakh in his glory days, but GB has spent FAR too much money on someone who wasn't able to recover from his injuries. Hopefully this experience will serve us well in the future.

Thank You, Bakh,
Thanks for everything you did for the Packers and the community.
Thanks for keeping the left side safe for A-Rod and thanks for all your Pro-Bowl and All-Pro years.
You were the consummate left tackle that many people, in green and gold or otherwise, will always remember and always respect for how you played the game.
Wishing you the very best for your future and hoping your knee will allow you to play again one day.
We will miss you, not just for your game, but also for who you are.
Looking forward to seeing you in the Packers' HOF.
Have a beer for us, would ya!

Houndog, it's fans like you that help make the Green Bay Packers great.
We can't keep our players forever, but we can let them know they'll always be loved.

Necessary! There are a lot of talented OTs in the draft. It is time to rebuild that OL and draft one (most likely in round 1). Dave was a good player and the injury was unfortunate.

We'll see how smart the Jets are. I hope they don't fall for what is sure to be the full court press by His Darkness to bring in his closest pal in at left tackle.

While you can't deny David B.'s skill and performance it was time to go.
