Several Packers to Attend Hall of Fame Golden Anniversary Reunion

The NFL Hall of Fame turns 50 this year and is hosting a special celebration this August.

Every year the NFL Hall of Fame hosts an induction ceremony, honoring the new members of the Hall of Fame, that is generally attended by a large amount of former players. This year's Golden Anniversary event will be much larger.

The Hall of Fame is expecting over 130 former players, which is nearly double the amount of players that attend annually. The list of confirmed attendees includes many former Packer greats such as: Willie Davis, Forrest Gregg, Ted Hendricks, Paul Hornung, James Lofton, Jan Stenerud, and Jim Taylor.

Of course Packer Dave Robinson will also be in attendance, as he is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

People forget that Ted Hendricks played one season for Green Bay in 1976 and was 1st Team All Pro, had 5 interceptions, 3 safeties, and set the record for blocked kicks by a Packer. He was easily the best defensive player in the NFL that year and several others. Bart Starr probably will be the only QB to win 5 Championships and the best role model in team history but the word is he did not re-sign Hendricks who became a free agent because of his suspected gambling ties. He went to the Raiders and was a Pro Bowl player for 9 more years.
