I guess Slocum is beyond UGLY.
And time for a new category - STUPID. Put Bostick in that.

No Shawn Slocumb? MM and SS deserve uglies both.

And I don't think anyone deserves "good" for that epic playoff collapse. And certainly not HHCD - that 2 point "Fail Mary Lite" defense was awful!

The better team lost. I hate everything.

Dix had a good game. Two INTs? Dude is a rookie. Lacy too. Lacy always plays for a full 60. This team doesn't deserve him.

If these players were not very talented, it wouldn't bother me. If they were marginal players and the staff was getting the most out of them, but they just weren't good enough, it would be no big deal.

But these are good players who consistently shit themselves. The whole is less than the sum of it's parts. Time to take a HARD look at that.

This was NOT just another loss.

Overall, Dix had a solid game. Good tackling, 2 INTs. He did not break up the pass on the 2 point conversion. That was his only bad spot. Putting Bostick on the Hands team on the onside kick is on Slocum. Capers not having defenders deep during the OT period killed us. Still, if Bostick makes the catch on the onside kick, we win the game. Gang tackling Lynch up near his shoulders doesn't work. wrapping him up around the legs, does. We played pretty decent football for 55 minutes. We needed to play decent ball for 60 minutes.

The sad thing is that MM and DC called such a great game for 55 minutes, then just hit the shut off switch. Well deserving of the bad.

It's almost like they wre TRYING to lose.

Burnett grabs an INT and downs it? WTF!?

It's like they were TERRIFIED they might win.

Or how about Seattles third and forever and we decide to rush two giving Wilson all the time he needed. What's worse we were getting all kinds of pressure on him with a traditional rush.

The Burnett slide was a total head scratcher. If there's about a minute left with the score the way it was sure, go ahead. But with over five minutes left? Who does crap like that? I've never seen such passivity in my life.

And this from Fox sports: "The Green Bay Packers were less than four minutes away from advancing to their sixth Super Bowl in franchise history. With a 19-7 lead and the Seahawks taking possession at their own 31-yard line with just one timeout left, the Packers were seemingly in complete control. Mathematics sure liked their odds, as a win probability calculator had Green Bay's chances of closing out the victory at 99 percent."

You'd almost have to try and lose at that point. Most disappointing loss I've ever seen.

Burnett laying down on his INT was one of many "WTF?" moments in this game. If he stays on his feet and runs, who knows how far he would have gotten?

Our offense scored 3 pts in the 2nd hlf until our last second FG to tie it. Ugly = conservative play calling (looking at you MM). Oh, and Slocum.

Was it, though?

GNB 20 Aaron Rodgers pass complete to Jordy Nelson for 12 yards GNB 32 Aaron Rodgers pass complete to Randall Cobb for 2 yards
GNB 34 Aaron Rodgers pass incomplete short left intended for Lacy
GNB 34 Aaron Rodgers sacked by Cliff Avril for -7 yards
GNB 27 Tim Masthay punts 44 yards.

Was this too conservative? The Packers tried to pass the ball and just couldn't get it going. It had nothing to do with a lack of trying. Next drive, the Packers return to the "conservative" ground game and look what happens.

GNB 13 Eddie Lacy left tackle for 5 yards (tackle by Kam Chancellor) GNB 18 Eddie Lacy right guard for 7 yards (tackle by Cliff Avril)
GNB 25 James Starks left tackle for 32 yards (tackle by Richard Sherman)
SEA 43 Penalty on Bryan Bulaga: False Start, 5 yards (no play)
SEA 48 Eddie Lacy left tackle for 5 yards
SEA 43 James Starks left guard for 3 yards (tackle by Cliff Avril)
SEA 40 Aaron Rodgers pass complete to Richard Rodgers for 7 yards
SEA 33 James Starks left tackle for 3 yards (tackle by Jeremy Lane)
SEA 30 Aaron Rodgers pass incomplete deep right intended for James Starks
SEA 30 Aaron Rodgers pass incomplete short left intended for James Starks
SEA 30 Mason Crosby 48 yard field goal good

The Packers are running the ball down Seattle's, and then "get aggressive" and the drive stalls.

At some point maybe (just maybe) you might need to give just a little tiny bit of credit to a dominate Seattle pass defense. The Packers were taking what Seattle gave them. When they tried to force the passing game, things fell apart--and committed two INTs.

If you want to argue with QB1, that's fine. he was asked by Wilde specifically about two late 4th quarter drives, and he said you cannot do that and win. They didn't run any play action late when running out clock to open up the middle and move the chains.

He would have more clout on this if he had not already thrown two picks in the game....

I don't think I have EVER seen a Packer loss that message board geniuses did not attribute to one of two things:

(1) Getting "too conservative" if the team runs the ball; OR
(2) "Abandoning the run" if the team passes.

Every single defeat. It's always one of the other.

Sometime you pass the ball because you cannot get anything going on the ground. Sometimes you run the ball because you cannot get anything going through the air. Personally, I would rather see three failed runs rather than three failed passes.

Clearly McCarthy called a perfect game. No room for second-guessing. Right?

Y'know, sometimes the fans are right. There were message board geniuses saying that Matthews should move inside. People like you pooh-poohed it, but whatyaknow, it turned out to be a pretty good move.

If you don't like people talking about the game, i have to wonder why you're here.

Second guess all you want, just (a) keep it in perspective and (b) realize that hindsight is 20/20, and (c) understand that football is a little more nuanced than "the play calling was too conservative."

It's the same thing that happens all the time.

Usually, we squeak by with a win and everyone just figures it's ok. Remember how Julio Jones was lighting us up in the Atlanta game?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

AWad is 6-5 in the playoffs..He is a glorified "stat" hanger that craps down his leg come play off time...

Have fun watching Teddy-Boy in the off-season make his moves in FA...a bit like watching paint dry...

Hey Rodgers...CHOKE MUCH...????

You a-holes were all over Favre and he was much better in the playoffs with much LOUSIER teams and skill position players...

Ted sucks and so does Aaron..(or so I heard..)

Bwaahhahahahahahahaha..

Still arguing the 4>12 thing? You are no fan and you should give Nitschke his number back. You are unfit to have that handle. You are now Pack28 as you deserve Ahamad Carroll's number at best. What a tool...laughing at this time. Pathetic. SMH

The good
Bright future with young players.
Clinton-Dix, Adams, Richard Rodgers, Linsley, Barrington are all first year starters. I can't wait to see them next year.
Along with guys like Abbrederis and Janis, more reloading by Thompson and maybe some surprise players step up. Maybe a guy like Khyri Thornton?

The bad
Packers are now drafting at 29 or 30. I haven't seen yet where they are picking. Either way, not the spot you want to be in.
Also, the way they lost the game, there is a really good possibility that, that will be Williams' last play as a Packer.

The ugly
If Slocum remains a coach on this team past today. That will be ugly!!!

Ugly - not being able to exploit a CB who was playing with one arm for most of the fourth quarter.

My buddy and I were screaming to go after the injured Sherman and MM didn't! Even when he said they weren't going to shy away from him in the days before the game. What better time to throw his way! He couldn't move his injured arm.

After the Burnett intercept the chances of GB winning was around 98%.
In these games nothing left to chance is best if it's at your disposal. The Patriots do it right by running up the score and leaving
nothing to chance.

Just heartsick over this epic collapse. Getting all sorts of "What a great game," and "Russell Wilson is awesome," out of the local Seattle fans. What I want to hear is one person say that the Seahawks are beatable and the Packers dominated them except in the smarts and heart department.

These are "new money" fans with no humility or appreciation for what it takes to get and stay at the top of the game. Cannot wait for the Hawks DC to go to Atlanta, salary cap to start eating away, then we'll see what a genius Carroll is. Then all these guys who have been fans for 5 minutes can go back to grunge and lattes.

It so didn't have to be this way. Pack gave one away in an epic failure and it really hurts. Thanks for letting me vent.

I recall how estacic I was a few years ago when Favre threw the pick against NO to cough up the championship for the Vikes. I thought that Favre would be remembered as one of the all-time goats. Well guess what. We totally surpassed that gaffe by a factor of at least 100! This is so bad I can't even figure out who the actual goat even is....too much competition for that award.

Bad: Dum Capers, Slocum D and ST are not mentally tough and lost focus.

Ugly: I now am forced to root for the Seachickens to beat Bill Bellicheat.

I can't stop thinking about this. I feel so bad for the players. I totally get it - they thought they had it won. Peppers - who was desperate for a Super Bowl - thought he had it won, told Burnett to get down, I'm sick for him. Sick for Bostick.

I was SO proud of this team for the first 55-odd minutes. They went into SEATTLE and physically took it to them, maybe the most physical team in the league. They had it all wrapped up. Then by some magic combination of several highly unlikely events, had it stolen from them.

This is definitely more painful than past playoff losses. Only Brett's loss in OT to the Giants rivals it.

Everyone talks about windows. They're short for everybody, even teams with Aaron Rodgers. But - I think the last few years Ted has done a tremendous job at reloading a supporting cast for QB12. Next year will be very good. Gotta get homefield...

One final, big picture, major regret - when it's all said and done, we may look back at 2014 as the team's healthiest year. Health has traditionally been our biggest enemy, and this year we had it on our side, and didn't take advantage. It's an unforgiving game...

Mike McCarthy comes from the Marty Schottenheimer coaching tree. Once the playoffs start something bad happens. Plays not to lose.

That's pretty much the story except for the 2010 year. I wonder what happened that year? Tramon didn't slide when he picked off Ryan right before the half in the Atlanta game. Raji ran his INT in, too. He almost blew it hot dogging it in. This year's team was too afraid of losing to even try running a 4Q INT upfield. That's on McSchottenheimer.

I suspect MM is bad for Rodgers at this point in his career. Rodgers hasn't played really well in the playoffs since SB XLV. My guess is that MM has him playing with a stick up his butt.

Young players makes mistakes. The Packers are young. Played the last month with an injured Rodgers. I just will have to wonder what could have been. This one they can use for motivation. This season I see 14 wins and SB 50.

Ugly Slocum. His special teams suck. All the time. Putting slow A J Hawk as safety valve on the field goal team is pathetic.
