Report: Packers Rookie WR Jeff Janis Diagnosed with Shingles

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com:

Shingles is viral infection that can leave a painful rash, caused by the chickenpox virus.

Janis was placed on the team's Non-Football Illness (NFI) list on the eve of training camp and has yet to partcipate in the team's first six practices.

If Janis, indeed, returns on Monday, he will have not missed a single preseason game, still giving him ample time to make a push for a roster spot.

Cool. Janis and my grandmother have something in common.

Hopefully they PUP Janis or this gets him on the PS. He needs a year to learn after being such a small school player. He's probably way too green to help much this year anyway.

Painful, but hopefully will clear up and he can get into the mix!
