Report: Packers Buy Hotel Adjacent to Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers have purchased the Road Star Inn hotel adjacent to Lambeau Field, according to a report from Fox 11 in Green Bay.

The hotel was the final piece of property the Packers needed for uninterrupted ownership along Lombardi Ave. west of the stadium from Ridge Road to Marlee Lane:

The hotel will reportedly close in about a month.

Exact plans have not yet been shared the Packers, although they plan on developing the property for non-football related income, referred to as the Titletown Development District, to include retail shopping and perhaps a new hotel among other ventures.

this may not have been the Ritz, but I stayed there many times when we were in town for games or training camp. And exclusively for the last 4 years. I loved the location and the staff there are fantastic. Andy, Steve and everyone there treated me & my kin like we were family. I was on the "list" and was able to reserve my rooms in May for whichever game I was attending. Plus, the tailgating in the parking lot was awesome! I'm going to miss this place, for sure. Plus I got to hang out with Dave Robinson in their lobby in 2011. Great Guy!
