Report: David Bakhtiari Leads Packers in Performance-Based Pay

Citing a report from Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty took to Twitter saying that that Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari led the team in performance-based pay in 2013 with $256,882.22.

According to NFL analyst Brian McIntyre, every NFL divides $3.46 million. Payments won't be made until Apr. 1.

In a general sense, performance-based pay is intended to reward low-paid players that play a high percentage of snaps. In other words, players that already have lucrative contracts such as Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews are not those designed to benefit from this system of recompense.
