Report: Aaron Rodgers Recruits Kansas Basketball Player

A good story is shared by Eric Adelson of Yahoo Sports in which Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers builds a relationship with Kansas basketball player Tarik Black.

Rodgers was invited to a Kansas game by coach Bill Self, where he gave a pep talk to the team and met Black.

As player that measures in at 6' 9" and 260 lbs. and without an NBA future, Black would seem to fit the mold of so many basketball players that become NFL tight ends.

Black has zero organized football experience, which makes him an extreme longshot, but the connection to Rodgers has led to the Packers at least doing some due diligence on the Jayhawks product.

"Soon, Black was on the phone with a Packers scout, and still bewildered by the whole episode," writes Adelson.

I'd love to see Tarik Black in the Packer uniform. A 6-9 tight end. Wow! If Aaron Rodgers likes what he sees, I'd like to give Tarik Black a try.
