Brian breaks down the long-shot scenario it would take for Asomugha to come to Green Bay and what the Packers would do in the secondary if they happened to sign him.

Let's not follow the Matt Millen wide receiver Lion trap. Guys like Matthews and Pickett and Raji help make guys like Williams and Shields.
Pay for pressure first.

Namdi Asomugha is the best cover corner in the game. Sorry. I love Tramon and Woodson, I really do, but no one shuts down a side of the field like Asomugha. Every single would be better with him on it.

I don't think the Packers will make a big push for him, and I doubt he is very interested. But as a Cal grad perhaps he could be swayed by Aaron Rodgers.

I'll be disappointed to see Colledge back next year. As BC notes, not a lot of push in run blocking. Has given up more than his share of sacks.

I'd love to see more than one great game from Starks before we all get so excited. I am not convinced that he has enough speed to be a home run hitter. However, his college receiving stats were good enough to suggest that he can play on 3rd down if he can pass block in the NFL.

I'd be for keeping Starks, Grant, BJax, and Kuhn and Hall in the backfield next year. Quinn Johnson has not produced enough on ST or offense to warrant holding a roster spot for him for another year.

Ahugabrewski is fantasy football stuff. Even if he wanted to come to GB I can't see TT making room for him with Woodson and Williams there. God forbid, barring a major injury to one of them. I just don't see it.
