No soup for Gutey!

Although Newman is often not bad in run blocking.

Can't run behind Myers, or the combination of Myers and Runyan. That makes it much more difficult for #28 to get anything substantial, or even a conversion on 3rd and short. If his option is go left, behind Jenkins and Bakh (or whoever might be in for Bakh) it's much easier to defend. If he can also run behind Runyan and Tom at RT that would help, although I'm not sure how proven that is?

The main thing for short yardage is straight up the middle, and using Quadzilla for that with somebody big pushing him is a lot more sensible than a QB sneak.

That's not on #28.

They are not letting AJ Dillon go. If he wasn’t splitting snaps…he is a 1000 yard per year rusher. period. end of story. He gets 4 yards+ running against stacked boxes where teams are specifically focused on stopping him. When you see him run and he is dragging a premier NT 3 yards draped on his back…you know there is juice there. And that’s even behind a suspect OL. In open field he requires 2-3 dudes to tackle him. I’m always wondering if we’re all watching the same football games. He is more than capable of doing what he did in that titans game 2 yrs ago where he rushed for damn near 200 yards against a stout vrable run defense. #28 quadzilla is my favorite player…he does the dirty 3 yard carry’s for that crucial 1st down. He might not have the speed…but he wears down a defense…and i do t think you can put a price on that.
