 GAME PREDICTIONS Week 3

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Adam 1-1 Green Bay Packers 31-23
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense looks better -- not great, but better -- and the Packers head into their bye week 2-1.
Jersey Al 1-1 Green Bay Packers 33-17
It may seem crazy to call this a must game for the Packers, but I think it is. And not just a must win. They either get their offensive mojo working again and build some confidence or the needle could very well tip towards the negative and an ugly season.
Andrew 1-1 Green Bay Packers 21-14
There's a lot on the line for the Packers this week and they cannot afford to lose a second divisional game in a row. As I outlined in the 3 Keys article, I think the Packers have to really get Lacy involved this week, if just to calm the offense down. I think this is also the week where Rodgers and his receivers finally sync up. The Lions aren't a great defense—the Packers should be able to move the ball on them. On the other side of things, the Packers defense has allowed 277 yards per game and three touchdown passes, but have had seven sacks so far. That's going to be too much for the Lions Oline and Matt Stafford.
Cory 1-1 Green Bay Packers 31-13
A beat-up Lions team is a perfect elixir to get back on track. Expect Eddie Lacy to expose a Detroit defense that is very thin at linebacker.
Jason 1-1 Green Bay Packers 24-17
It's time to play mad and the Packers should do just that, led by Aaron Rodgers.  He carries his rage from this week's media session onto the field and while they don't light up the scoreboard, the offense looks much more under control.  The defense is its usual self and controls the Lions ground game while getting after Matthew Stafford plenty.  A late turnover seals the win for the Packers and they head into the bye on a better note.
Jayme 1-1 Green Bay Packers 27-17
Finally at home and clearly frustrated after last week's showing, the Packers offense should be able to get back on track this week. I don't expect a complete 180 from last week's performance, but an improvement should happen.
Michelle 1-1 Detroit Lions 17-14
It's not pessimism, it's realism: If they can't get their offense in a rhythm and force turnovers, the Packers will lose to the Lions. Matthew Stafford has too many weapons, and the Packers haven't yet shown they can put up an early lead and keep it. The key? Winning early first downs.
Ross 1-1 Green Bay Packers 34-20
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Zach 1-1 Green Bay Packers 31-10
After a sluggish (understatement of the year) performance in Minnesota, I'm calling a bounce-back. The Packers take whatever steps they need to take through the week en route to getting back on the winning path and clobber the Lions in their home-opener.
Mr. X 1-1 Green Bay Packers 42-16
The Packers finally get some home cooking against a beatup Lions team and there's a lot of "bang the drums" heard at Lambeau field.

Green Bay passing game is where the GM has spent his money. It's supposed to be a BIG GB advantage every week, and it's not. Unfortunately, this is precisely the area of the team that needs to bring home the W's. The passing game is in a major slump and the rest of the roster doesn't work well without having that vital cog.

What's worse is that the talent is there. This is not going to fix itself until MM and AR take a look in the mirror.

Low scoring ugly game that the Pack only wins because Detroit's D is awful and their best player is out.

17-14 - and I hope to see a GB blowout.

Bearmeat I will repeat myself: It is not likely that nobody from offense are running right routes or does not know how to play. If Davante are playing so bad, why Aaron tossing ball most often to him?

So, there is plenty weapon for the Man in problems. He has to elevate his play, not others...

So, what was the TT mistake? Because he drafted Aaron?

Playing at home the Packers finally win the field position battle and the offense improves as a result. Defense swarms and harasses Stafford all game. Pack 30-10.
Thanks, Since '61

If we run we lose. This offense was created to highlight Rodgers and it functioned best when the pass opened up the run. When teams didn't expect two runs and pass, which is likely what we'll see this week as an overreaction to our miserable passing game. We do not have great talent on offense as long as Adams starts. Jordy still not all the way back but will never be a speed receiver. Adams at best a possession receiver, that never needs double coverage and doesn't even need to be covered by the opponents best CB. As long as Adams starts ahead of the faster Davis and Janis we will be playing on a short field because there's no one to stretch it. Been like that since KC realized Cover two and pressing our receivers was all that was needed. Other teams now do the same and McCarthy and Rodgers stubbornly play along. Over a year now we have been a bad offensive team. And defensively Capers has sold out to stop the run so teams beat us with the pass. He can't do both. We are a less than 500 team for the last year and everyone still thinks it's 2014.

A long two week hangover unless the liquor has been placed under lock and key from the offense.

The Packers won't turn it around in one game after 14 / 15 games of mediocrity. We may be witnessing something historic here, and it's a shame TT and MM missed the window of opportunity with their all-world QB.
Lions 20
Packers 12.
....and the beat goes on.

Two defensive scores. Two Lacy scores. QB1 rating at 105. Excellent punting. Pack rolls 35-17. Everyone comes in off the ledge.

THE LIONS WILL PLAY TIGHT COVERAGE ON PACKER RECEIVERS. UNTIL MM FIND A WAY TO GET RECEIVERS OPEN IT COULD BE ANOTHER LONG AFTERNOON. WE AS FANS CAN ONLY WATCH. IF THINGS DON,T GET SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER WITH THE OFFENSE WE WILL HAVE TO TURN UP THE HEAT ON TT AND MM. LETS HOPE FOR THE BETTER.

If AR gets his mojo back GB wins. If not.they lose and MM must stop saying how much confidence he has in AR and start coaching him up on his obvious problems.
