A beautiful way to close out an ugly year!

What a game. If, at the beginning of the year, someone told you there would be a rookie receiver for GB to break Sterling Sharpe's rookie record for receptions and that it would take 16 games for a receiver to break 100 yards, you'd call them crazy. If they told you it was Bo Melton, you'd probably slap them. How times have changed....

Winning when winning matters, against at least a decent team - and with your own team more banged up than most.

You have to learn how to do it and it looks like a lesson the Packers are learning.

I have to believe like many others, I was shocked at that game. It was like the alive was playing the living dead or something. Talk about being able to hear a pin drop in an auditorium. How can you describe in being here in Minny?
I mean for sure had the Vikes had Cousins it would have been a different year, different game situation. Hell the Vikes may have already sewn up the division but thats not how this works. Injuries happen.
My thoughts:
Love is for real and going forward is servicable.
P Smith looks old and out of shape the team needs to replace him with youth via the draft. Our pass rush is old now and in need of new blood. Van Ness needs big and fast to compliment him.

Dump Stokes and replace him with a first round pick who can do the job. This pass D still needs major overhaul going into next season. Without it, were just in the same boat different season is all.

Find a new kicker. 5 extra points missed is a record in the NFL this team doesnt need. Adious sucker.

Better get it that Watson is a lost cause. He has something more then just an occasional cramp going on. This is two full seasons of no output from a second round pick and to me, you put no points on the board sitting on the bench. Time to fully evaluate this guy and give him a medical buy out. You just cannot afford to keep him around taking up room.

The Bears will be formidable next week. Win and your in but win and Barry stays. They are getting rid of him if you make the playoffs. Lose and Barry can pack his bags on Monday. So can the rest of the team.

Come on guy, aside from Smith (who actually had one of the better games I've seen from a Packers defender this year) the next oldest pass rusher is Rashan Gary at 26. Gary is a monster, he just needs to stay in his lane, literally, as he over pursues sometimes but his speed and explosiveness are something that's been sorely missing from the pass rush for a long time. Enagbare is serviceable, LVN is young but has shown promise and Brenton Cox was a standout in the preseason and could be a steal if he gets playing time. Plus we just drafted Wooden and Brooks, who have also shown serious upside as pass rushers. We had 4 sacks. Cut them a little slack.

He’s the most negative poster around. He can find the gray cloud in anything and everything. He just called Love serviceable. Haha. He’s your quintesenntial, knee-jerk “fire everybody” Chicken Little when something goes wrong. If he was in charge NO ONE would ever be re-signed because he’d fire them after their first rookie mistake. I don’t understand how you have any joy in being a fan when everything is sooo bad, or maybe one thing is grudgingly “serviceable”. Grumpy old fucker needs some sunshine blown up his ass. Just don’t ask me to do it!

Yeah, he lost me when he said going forward Love is "serviceable". I suppose Mahomes is serviceable as well. That post sounds like it came from someone whose head is still pounding after a few too many NYE drinks last night.

To be frank, the Vikings were lackluster last night; they seemed disinterested in playing, with a noticeable absence of energy in the team.

This has been a roller coaster year, beating good teams and losing to bad ones. Which team will show up next week we will see, but I predicted the Packers at 9-8 or 8-9 this year and that's right where they are no matter how they got there. For a young team they aren't bad but I doubt they go far into the playoffs, as I don't think we are quite there yet. There are a few missing pieces to the puzzle and some coaching issues to work out but the fact that we're even talking playoffs at this point has to be considered a success. Beating the Vikings at the end of a season when it counts is a good feeling and it will be fun to poke fun at the MN fans when I return to work on Tuesday.

Lets be honest the Vikings were flat last night they looked like they didn't even want to play, clearly no spark in that team. Packers played against another backup QB 4th stringer and this time they came out on top. I'm am not sold on the Packers defense they need so much more talent. Anyone of the teams in the NFC Championship playoffs will destroy them. I'm happy that they have a chance to make the playoffs but this team needs so much more to play at the level of the 49ers, Cowboys, Eagles & Ravens. To bad our GM has put this team in Salary cap hell for the next two years. They really could use some veteran free agents on Defense. Hopefully we will see some changes in the front office next season. Good luck next week - Go Pack Go..!
