what was ever wrong with working out players? absolutely nothing. Ultimately, Palmer and Mulumba are just guys. Even Neal is probably just a guy. So if you find someone better, then ok, if not then well all that happened is one guy came in for a workout. big deal. if the Patriots, 49ers, or Seahawks worked out that young man then the people on the site here would comment "look that team looks everywhere to get better...". but it's the Packers, so everything Ted does must be bad. Geez...

The teams you listed know what defensive talent looks like.

The fact that none of those teams looked at this dude and TT did pretty much means he's no good.

Cow why didn't you just stay away. When you predicted 0-4 to start the season you disappeared for a month when the Pack won 4 straight. Then the injury epidemic happened and you show up again. YOU SUCK! Happy thanksgiving.

I didn't stay away because they were winning.

I stayed away (as long as I could) because I said I would. Had to think long and hard about coming back.

It's the Packers' fault that I've started posting again. If they weren't so damn boring I'd be having a fun football season right now. The fact that they suck so bad has brought me back out of the woodwork.

I'm bored with this disaster of a season.

At least posting here and reading other posts allows me some entertainment.

Just Teddy Tee doing his job. Teddy Tee has to deal with "what if" situations such as what if Matthews, Perry, Neal and Mulumba (which all four are hurt to some degree at this time)go down to injury. Teddy Tee needs to find guys like this in a pinch in that event. Nothing wrong with turning over a few stones no matter where they came from.

Maybe Teddy Tee should turn over a few medical trainers after the season is over. These damn injuries are really pissing me off!! Our team has been one of the worst as far as injured players go in the past couple seasons. I don't like that fucking trend one bit!!

It's been brought to my attention by people on this site that the Trainers are in no way responsible for the health of the team over a four year span of above average injuries. Oh yeah, and Dom Capers isn't responsible for the NFL record poor defensive outings either. Not really sure who's responsible for what at 1265 Lombardi Ave anymore.

Well I certainly here ya Jeremy. What I've learned the past four years is when every in doubt as to who's responsible, you can never go wrong by blaming Shawn Slocum.

Gotta say, I agree. So much of what we hope for each year comes to naught due to injuries. So.much of what we banter about on this site, pales in the face of injuries that turn each season around.

Where, exactly, does that buck stop?

Maybe Teddy Tee should grab a warm glass of milk and his blankey and sleep on it, and in the morning retire.

Ted Thompson has not found better defensive talent since 2010. Yes - he has tried. So you have to ask what's wrong. I think he is trying to bring in players that will be a 'surprise' no matter what round of the draft they are taken..ssimilar to finding hidden talent in the UDFA's.

The conclusion that I reach is that TT is not as clever as he thinks he is. And therefore the team has a load of under-performing players. And taking three years to coach up a player to play at a high level is a gamble.

I agree except that I don't think any of these players are "under-performing".

I think they're actually performing to the best of their personal abilities... It's just that they suck.

I'm curios, what was your take in 2010 when the pack was 8-6. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, fire everyone, these players suck, they'll never make the playoffs. Then you probably smashed your tv when the Pack won it all, because your really a Viking or Bears fan.

It drives me crazy when people compare this team to the 2010 team.

That was a once in a lifetime aligning of the stars.
Everything that had to happen did.
It was luck more than anything.

But to answer your question... what do I remember about them being 8-6? I remember watching them lose to the Pats when everything in the world was stacked against them.... and having tears in my eyes because I was so proud of how hard they battled. they fought a great NE team for every inch on the field.

The played their friggin' hearts out.
They were aggressive.
MM called a great game.

THEY HAD HEART!

After that game I knew it was a special team.

What has this team done in a similar situation?
It's pissed down it's own leg.

The defense has actually regressed.
The intensity level has actually dropped.
The playcalling has actually become a liability.

Other than dudes getting hurt, there is no comparison between these two teams.

This team has no balls.

You are wrong, this is a very similar team as far as compared to the 2010 team. Yes, everything was aligned right and the replacement players started playing their rear ends off late in the season. It could happen again. Will it? To early to tell. Don't be a fair weather fan.

Well, at least he's looking for a pass rush. Because we certainly don't have one now.

I hate agreeing with Cow, but this piece of his post somewhere above was spot on:

The intensity level has actually dropped.
The playcalling has actually become a liability."

Cow can lean too much on the dark side.

But occasionally, dude is spot on. This is one of those cases. 2010 D played with intensity and passion.

2013 D - slow and passion-less.

The difference. No leadership. 2010 - Charles Woodson. 2012 - ?????.

This season is over. We won't make the playoffs. And at the end of the day, I hope I am wrong, but if I am not....we can blame the defense. Or lack there of.
