Packers Sign OL Jamon Meredith, Place WR Kevin Dorsey on I.R.

The addition of Meredith gives the Packers depth on the offensive line as Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang nurse injuries.

The Green Bay Packers added some much-needed depth on the offensive line on Saturday by signing free agent Jamon Meredith, originally a 2009 draft pick of the organization (fifth round, 162 overall).

To make room for Meredith on the roster, wide receiver Kevin Dorsey was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending foot injury at practice on Thursday.

The addition of Meredith is notable in light of the injuries to guards Josh Sitton (toe) and T.J. Lang (ankle), each of whom are dealing with torn ligaments as part of their respective injuries.

Both Sitton and Lang are listed as "questionable" for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

Whether Meredith is ready for action after just one day with the organization is up for debate. If Sitton and Lang don't play, the Packers would reportedly go with J.C. Tretter at left guard and Lane Taylor at right guard.

Meredith has spent time with six organizations since being cut by the Packers as a rookie and signed off their practice squad by the Buffalo Bills. He played four games with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season and had his longest stint with the Tampa Bay Bucanneers in 2012 and 2013, starting 20 out of 30 games.

The six-year veteran will wear No. 77 with the Packers.

Stop with this drivel.

Oh - you'll be gone after 3 more wins. Countdown 3-2-1-0!

Skippy, you better check the Packer's record in Dec. under MM. All you can hope for now is for Rodgers to get hurt which I'm sure you're hoping for. you suck.
