Packers' Schedule Released: Super Bowl Assured

The NFL has released its schedule for the 2015 regular season.

The Packers open on the road against the Bears and finish the season at home against the Vikings. Here's what happens in between. Looks like 16-0 to me.

No slow start this year - this team needs to get over the hump and show that they can beat Seattle and SF.

Agreed that the first month is where the focus needs to be. Not so much about specific opponents, but McCarthy's teams have indeed been mostly slow starters. Would be nice to see them come out of the gate on fire.

Yeah, I'm just tired of hearing that they can't beat Seattle or SF. Time to shut those people up.

Depending on how a few calls/close plays go, 12-4 or 11-5 this year. Aside from the Raiders & Bears, I see a lot of tough games, against some very good defenses.

Neither Detroit nor San Fran will have defenses resembling what they had last year.

Like the bye in week 7 and mini-bye after T-giving. Not a fan of going to the Big Bell Bottom on a six day week after a Monday night game, but I think we get over the hump there too.

I have liked every move the Packers have made in this off-season: releasing Bostick, Hawk and Brad Jones, re-signing Cobb and Bulaga, replacing Slocum, and McCarthy turning over the play-calling to Clement. To me these actions show organizational maturity and a commitment to winning now. I expect these next two years to be special!

Totally agree, with the lone exception of promoting Zook. I was not impressed with his post-hire quotes.

Agreed, wish they would have went outside the staff and brought in completely new blood. I think with McCarthy's brother passing it slowed the process down where the ST Coaches that could have been brought in had already been scooped up. I might be wrong but I thought I'd read that somewhere.

TT generally gives MM young teams. They start slow and build. No excuse for the offense this year. If they come out on fire then I'm thinking 14-2. Pick two. I'm picking Seattle (D won't be ready yet) and the Vikings at Minnesota (division rival on the rise).

If the team from the second half of last year shows up this fall, there is nothing on that schedule they cannot handle.

There will be no easy games (usually). Teams get up to play the Packers.

I've missed something. How can the Packer Ram game be on CBS on a Sunday?

NFL started that last year when CBS got Thursday night game. Don't want boring game on one network when they can share the wealth.

So CBS pays for an NFC game? Not sure if you mean the Packer Ram game is a bad match up. If so, why would CBS want it? Or do they have to take it???? Ty

Now that Ted has fired Mike from play calling, we won't start out slow. We won't have to worry about handing it off to Lacey 3 times late in the game when we should be digging the dagger out of the other teams back. I will never get over the loss to Seattle with 5 minutes to go.

Why would you dig the dagger OUT of the other team's back??

I look at the schedule and all I see is week 2. GB needs to exercise that demon immediately and get a leg up on them for the playoffs.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold but I want it asafp. Week 2 will have to do.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't know anyone who has ever avenged a playoff loss with a regular season win. In my opinion, revenge is a dish best served with a Lombardi trophy.

I'm wary of our rookie player-caller Tom Clements. I hope he doesn't stutter coming out of the gate. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, you're right, he is not a rookie. His last team relieved him of play calling duties mid-season. Hope and expect that Clements has learned and grown (and has much better offensive talent with which to work).

Every playcall better be a touchdown, or he sucks.

Cool I can now finally plan my trip latter this year. Am going to try and catch the 49ers game and the Chargers for TBW5.

I like the schedule except for week 2, I'd preferred the Packers pay Seattle after week 4, BUT this time around I don't think it will matter when they play em. I see a 6-0 start and a full 2 weeks to get ready for a Denver. They have the back to back Thursday Night Games and a mini bye before Dallas and a week 7 Bye, not to bad at all.

Nagler: Thanks for NOT doing mock draft articles. Nothing is more useless than fictional news. "Oh my gosh, the Packers took Marcus Mariotta in the third round of my mock draft!!!" What does this mean for the future of #12?

Thanks Mark. Corey probably wishes I would, because they drive traffic like crazy, but I just can't. Mostly for the reasons you state.

How does one get 0.5 like and -0.5 dislike? [Not the most important question ever asked, I grant, but there's a good straight line in there somewhere!]

So, for three years in a row the Packer season has started and ended the same way. THAT HAD BETTER NOT BE THE CASE THIS YEAR.

Overall not bad. There is 1 stretch that I really don't like.

They play 2 Thursday night games in a row, then they are home against Dallas, then they have 2 west coast trips to Oakland then Arizona. That will be a fairly tough stretch.

I like week four. The Packers get a chance to get accustomed to the new stadium, where they will get their final Win of the year in February 2016.

I like it. Not a team on that schedule we shouldn't beat. I know we will likely drop a couple, so I'm going with 14-2. I really don't think that's very bold.

Gonna head to the Seahawk game if anybody wants to meet up and buy me a beer! ;-)
