Packers Round Out #MockFour with White, Richardson

Western Michigan Jordan White and Vanderbilt safety Sean Richardson were the seventh-round draft picks of the Packers in #MockFour.

With their compensatory selections in the seventh and final round, the Packers selected Western Michigan wide receiver Jordan White and Vanderbilt safety Sean Richardson in the internet mock draft, #MockFour.

Packers fans will be impressed that White broke a lot of the school receiving records of another Western Michigan product, Greg Jennings.

White not only broke school records, he's also the Mid-American Conference record holder in career receiving yards (4,187) and single-season receiving yards (1,911) and tied the conference record for career receptions (306).

The production is undeniable. What's holding White back is his pedestrian speed (timed at 4.6 at the NFL Combine), but his precise route running and great hands help make up for it.

The Packers don't exactly need depth at wide receiver, but with 12 picks, it was a value selection. They could always keep a guy like White on the practice squad and develop him for future seasons.

With Richardson, the Packers get another chance to find a safety to perhaps replace Nick Collins.

Richardson was a tackling machine at Vandy but didn't make many impact plays. He had a great performance at the Combine, however, and has some potential if some coaches can coax it out of him.

A good combination of size (6-2, 216 lbs.) and speed makes Richardson intriguing, and he should be able to contribute on special teams at the very least.

The final Packers #MockFour haul...

1.28––Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower

2.28––Clemson defensive lineman Brandon Thompson

3.28––Cincinnati defensive lineman Derek Wolfe

4.28––Baylor center Philip Blake

4.37––Tempe running back Bernard Pierce

4.38––LSU cornerback Ron Brooks

5.28––Missouri outside linebacker Jacquies Smith

6.28––Arkansas State safety Kelcie McCray

7.17––Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish

7.28––Massachusetts H-back Emil Igwenagu

7.34––Western Michigan wide receiver Jordan White

7.36––Vanderbilt safety Sean Richardson

I'm a big fan of this draft. Getting two late round safties means one of them probably won't make the 53, but the competion would give the Packers a better shot a getting some early production from the survivor.

I still can't believe you guys got both Brandon Thompson and Derek Wolfe. Good picks, and at value.
