The Green Bay Packers parted ways with wide receiver Kevin Dorsey on Tuesday in addition to confirming the release of tight end Brandon Bostick, who previously indicated on social media that he would be cut.

Dorsey was in his second year in the NFL after being a seventh round draft choice of the Packers in 2013.

The Maryland product was elevated from the practice squad on Oct. 6 and played in three games for the Packers before being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury.

Dorsey caught just one pass for four yards and made two tackles on special teams before his season came to and end.

In two seasons with the Packers, Dorsey just couldn't stay healthy. His 2014 campaign marked the second consecutive year Dorsey was placed on injured reserve, missing his entire rookie season with a toe injury.

During preseason action, Dorsey caught five passes for 52 yards, showing some promise.

Like Bostick, Dorsey will also be subject to waivers. The other 31 NFL teams have one day to make a claim on either player and assume their contract signed with the Packers.

If either player goes unclaimed, they're free to sign with any team of their choosing.

Injured too often, unfortunately. I think with his size he could've contributed, but there are only so many spots for young WRs. They had a couple of plays specifically for him, but didn't work out. Best of luck! I do think the team is fine at the WR position, but I also think they'll draft at least 1.

The WR position is pretty deep again this year. I could see them drafting one later in the draft as well...

While I like the WR position there is some questions there. First will Cobb be resigned. If he doesn't then I think the need for a WR goes up.

Behind Nelson and Cobb we have Adams, who looks to be another good WR. Then they have Boykin who fell off the earth this year. And after that we have Abbrederis (who I like) but is coming off of a torn acl and Janis who is very raw coming from a small school.

There are some questions there. So I could see them going after someone. Also I could see them looking for someone with returning ability.

Ok, so they have now made 2 cuts. Is anyone starting to get nervous that the Packers are not going to cut ties with Hawk & Jones? I mean, anyone besides me?

Both have been whipping boys of much of the fanbase to one degree or another for years. Obviously the Packers saw something in those two that not everyone did. Do they still see it?

I hope I'm just being impatient. But I fear I'm not.

What are the Vikes thinking? Can't see how he makes their team, either.
