Packers Ranked as World's 18th Most Valuable Sports Franchise

With a value of $1.161 billion, Forbes.com ranks the Packers as the 18th most valuable sports team in 2013.

Claiming top spot this year is Spanish football/soccer club, Real Madrid. Real is slated to be worth nearly triple that of the Packers at $3.3 billion. The second spot belongs to Manchester United, worth 3.165 billion and owned by the Glazer Family. The Glazers also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who claim the 28th spot on the list and are worth $1.033 billion.

The Dallas Cowboys are the top American Football team on the list at spot five, valued at $2.1 billion.

In total, there are 30 NFL teams on the Forbes list, with the Packers falling directly between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, last year's Super Bowl teams.
