Packers Practice Report: Thin on Defensive Linemen

Mike Daniels and Josh Boyd reportedly sat out of Thursday's practice session.

Surprisingly, defensive linemen Mike Daniels and Josh Boyd sat out of Thursday's Green Bay Packers practice, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who was in attendance:

Both Daniels and Boyd finished the Packers' most recent game against the New England Patriots and didn't appear to suffer any injuries.

As adrenaline wears off, however, injuries have a way of appearing in the aftermath of a game.

Without Daniels and Boyd, the Packers would be down to a healthy defensive line featuring only four players, two of them rookies: Letroy Guion, Datone Jones, Mike Pennel and Luther Robinson.

There was no immediate word on why Daniels and Boyd sat out, but the Packers will release their first injury report of the week later Thursday afternoon.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will also address the media in a press conference at 1:35 p.m. CT.

The injuries to Shields and Lattimore were disclosed following the Patriots game. Shields had a concussion. Lattimore has an ankle injury.

A few people could take the game off as far as I'm concerned. December is a long month.

It would take an act of God for the Falcons to upset GB in Lambeau right now. Have them take the game off.

He did along with a number of olb in the nfl including Perry. There is a major difference though between the 4-3 de position they played in college and the 3-4 de position the Packers employ.
