Packers Practice Report: Newly-Signed Bruce Gaston Not Seen

The defensive lineman was reportedly not in attendance at Packers practice on Thursday.

Participation at Green Bay Packers practice on Thursday remained essentially the same as the previous day with one notable exception, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com:

There was no immediate word why Gaston was absent.

The Packers will release an updated injury report later on Thursday afternoon, followed by a press conference with head coach Mike McCarthy.

McCarthy didn't anticipate that House (shoulder) would practice on Thursday, so his non-participation doesn't come as a surprise.

Running back Eddie Lacy (hip) once again appears to be limited, like he was on Wednesday:

UPDATE: Gaston was listed on the Packers injury report with an illness.

I don't think Orton can beat the Pack even if House is out and Shields isn't 100%. They've got Williams, Hayward, and can slide Bush and Hyde around. Wonder if Goodson can do anything at all. Would be nice to have Jumal Rolle right about now.
