Packers Podcast: Knee-Jerk Reaction to New LB Carl Bradford

To figure out whether Carl Bradford is an inside linebacker or an outside linebacker, we're joined by Scott McKenna and Al Bracco to share their thoughts.

Fourth-Round Reaction

With their fourt-round selection, the Green Bay Packers selected linebacker Carl Bradford of Arizona State. It's difficult to project where Bradford fits, inside or outside, but we have no shortage of conjecture from Scott McKenna of Talkin' Smac and "Jersey" Al Bracco of AllGreenBayPackers.com and our own Pro Football Draft Preview guide.

Enjoy.

absolutely will be inside. thompson makes up for the rodgers selection(alex green revisited)in 3rd rd. bradford is nasty and non stop motor that can excel as inside blitzer.was used at ilb in some packages. thanks for throwing us a bone ted!

Like the pick.

Per CBS:

"Only occasionally asked to drop back into coverage, but shows at least fair fluidity and speed when doing so. Alert player with a history of making big plays."

"Size, athleticism and instincts project Bradford best to inside linebacker in the NFL "

Definitely a good pick. Hard to say for sure where he'll start out.

A linebacker that can change directions. Can't believe it.

The coach at Stanford said this guy is a player. He gave Stanford trouble and should be considered a real winner for the Pack.

Good value pick. Despite projected move from OLB to ILB, looks like a Talent over need pick to me.

I like the pick a lot. He'll get a chance at OLB first and that's the right idea. He gets it done as a pass rusher. His first step is really quick and he plays with that hair on fire motor that nobody on defense seems to have except for clay. I also think he could do well at ilb. This guy has legit speed and has the tools to be good in coverage.

I like the pick. Everybody gave the Packers a A+ for this pick. High effort, non stop motor, and this tape isn't the first time I heard the Desmond Bishop comparison. No matter what, the Packers are going to sack the QB this year. A LOT!
