Packers Officially Sign LB Josh Francis

First reported more than a week ago, the Green Bay Packers made the signing of linebacker Josh Francis official on Thursday.

Francis last played for the Witchita Falls Nighthawks of the Indoor Football League in 2015. Prior to that, he played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League in 2014.

He played his college football at West Virginia, his last season coming in 2012.

The Packers didn't comment on why it took more than a week to announce his signing, but it's possible it took several days for Francis to travel to Green Bay and pass a physical.

I wonder if they are going to convert him to FB. He's only 6 ft. and 238 lbs.- typically not big enough for an NFL LB.

Ray Nitschke was 6'3''. Ted Hendricks was 6'7'. Their current defense calls for taller players. Must of been Happy Hour.

I remember Ted H like it was yesterday. You could see he was going to be great even as a rookie. HTF did the Packers let him walk. It was one of the dumb 70's blunders which were many.
