Packers Connection Could Bring Philbin, Colledge Together

Alex Marvez of FoxSports1 mentioned on Twitter on Tuesday about the Miami Dolphins and head coach Joe Philbin potentially signing free agent offensive lineman Daryn Colledge:

Colledge played with the Packers back when Philbin was the team's offensive coordinator.

The Cardinals released Colledge earlier this offseason before the start of free agency.

Is Daryn any good?

No. Dolphins are desperate. They lost 2 players. Incognito and Martin.

I was astounded at what AZ paid him years ago.

Me too. I'm sure they wish they had a do-over on that.

While all Packer fans considered Colledge to be vastly over-paid, the Cards fans didn't so much. Their OL was a complete disaster when they signed Colledge and while he didn't play quite as good as his salary (which was elevated by being a SB Champion), the Cards were very happy to have him. He helped stabilize an OL and was a consistent starter.

Living in the Phx/Scottsdale area, I never heard of any Cards fans that considered him a terrible FA signing. They were mostly happy to have a solid starter for the past 4 years, before he was released this offseason.

Oh no, not the big bad seahawks! Oh my back hurts!

What the hell does that have to do w/ anything? I was talking about a 4 yr period where I had first hand knowledge of Colledge as a Cardinal. Your talking about ONE game where he had a back injury bothering him!

Its not like I said he made the Cards OL good, it was still below average, but he at least was available to play every week and made the OL better than it would have been w/o him. A lot of teams struggled w/ containing Seattle's DL. Try making some sense for a change!

It was humor. You know.....I thought it was funny. Lighten up Francis.

Well maybe you should present it as humor Sonny. There wasn't anyway of knowing it was humor by what you said. I can't see your facial expressions or other cues to let me know it was humor.
