Packers Calendar: Randall Cobb Helping Hands Dinner

The Packers wide receiver holds a charity function Monday evening in De Pere, Wis.

Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day weekend...

The NFL Draft is over and it's only a matter of days until the newest class of Green Bay Packers players fly to Titletown to begin the team's offseason program.

Until that time, the veterans will continue to take part in Phase 2 of the program that includes small group position work and strength and conditioning.

Wide receiver Randall Cobb takes a break from workouts on Monday evening to host his namesake Helping Hands Dinner to raise money for charity.

Taking place at 6:00 p.m. Bleu Restaurant and Lounge in De Pere, the event will include a three-course dinner, wine, live and silent auctions and a chance to meet Cobb and other Packers players.

According to promotional material, "Proceeds from the event benefit Randall Cobb’s Helping Hands program which partners with Blessings in a Backpack, as well as Green Bay’s local schools and YMCA after-school programs to provide backpacks full of healthy foods for disadvantaged kids to take home on weekends when they lack access to school meals. The program also upgrades learning facilities and provides unique experiences for these youth."

Tickets are $250 each and can be purchased by calling (615) 535-3140 or emailing [email protected] for more information.

Heaven forbid a Packer should get in to trouble... would be 200 comments here in an hour. But do good and there is just this one...so be it. Well done, Mr. Cobb.
