Packers Calendar: Putting on the Pads

The Packers return to training camp practice on Tuesday in pads, taking place at 11:15 a.m. CT at Ray Nitschke Field.

After returning to the practice field on Monday in shells, the Packers don the pads for Tuesday's training camp practice in Green Bay.

The team returns to action at 11:15 a.m. CT with practice being held at Ray Nitschke Field and open to the public. Players will be getting ready for Friday's third preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field.

Seeing as the third preseason game is typically the one in which the starters see the most action, there's a heightened sense of urgency in training camp this week.

Monday saw the return of three players from injury: cornerback Casey Hayward (hamstring), defensive lineman Datone Jones (ankle) and tight end Andrew Quarless (quad). So the Packers will be waiting to see if any more players can get past their injury woes on Tuesday.

They continue to wait on wide receiver Randall Cobb, who is nursing a lingering biceps injury.

Before practice, general manager Ted Thompson will have a press conference streamed live at the team's official website at 10:00 a.m. on Packers.com.

The same will happen after practice with head coach Mike McCarthy having a press conference streamed live, typically around the 2:00 p.m. hour.
