Packers Calendar: Practice Plan Formulated for QB Aaron Rodgers

The Packers quarterback is likely to be listed on the team's injury report, which will be released Wednesday afternoon.

After their typical Tuesday off from work, the Green Bay Packers return to the practice field on Wednesday, getting ready for their upcoming divisional round playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.

As important as quarterback Aaron Rodgers is to the Packers' fortunes, they weren't making assumptions about his practice status prior to Wednesday, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

"We don't have a plan," said McCarthy on Monday. "We're going to meet Wednesday morning with Dr. (Pat) McKenzie and evaluate how to move forward. So he's getting better."

Rodgers is dealing with a calf injury dating back to the Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, aggravating it a week later in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions.

It's now been 10 days since that Lions game, however, allowing Rodgers some time to heal.

McCarthy said last Friday that he didn't expect Rodgers to practice until Thursday, although nothing has been ruled out.

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday afternoon, likely listing Rodgers as either did not participate, limited or a full participant.

An update will follow from McCarthy in a press conference to be streamed live on Packers.com at 1:35 p.m. CT.

During the evening hours, defensive lineman Datone Jones will host his bi-monthly radio show on 107.5 FM, 1400 AM WDUZ in Green Bay and streamed online at TheFan1075.com at 6:00 p.m.

Linebacker Sam Barrington will be Jones' guest on the show, according to the station's Marques Eversoll on Twitter.

Then at 6:30 p.m. fullback John Kuhn and offensive lineman Josh Sitton take turns hosting Green Bay Nation on flagship station WFRV channel 5 in Green Bay.
