Packers Calendar: Practice, Pep Rally in Seattle

The Packers will hold a practice in enemy territory on Saturday, followed by a pep rally in the evening.

Following an atypical Friday flight to Seattle, the Green Bay Packers will hold their usual Saturday practice in enemy territory.

The organization has a decision to make based on the weather before they take on the Seahawks in the NFC Championship on Sunday.

"We're in good shape," said McCarthy. "We have an indoor spot and, potentially, an outdoor spot because there's a lot of rain in the forecast."

The Packers will then have their usual Saturday evening meetings at the team hotel, including a presentation from quarterback Aaron Rodgers that has gained so much attention this week.

While it's all business for the players, it will be fun for the fans.

Packers Everywhere will host a pep rally Saturday evening at the Mustard Seed Pub & Grill in Bellevue, Wash., home of the Northwest Packer Backers fan club, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis, along with other Packers alumni Ken Ruettgers and Josh Bidwell will be on hand to sign autographs and socialize with fans.

Packers president Mark Murphy will also take part in the event, while Mike Spofford will emcee the proceedings.

“We’re very excited to have the opportunity to host a pep rally in the Seattle area for the NFC Championship game,” said Joan Malcheski, director of the Packers Media Group and brand engagement. “It will give enthusiastic fans a chance to share their excitement about the game and visit with Packers alumni and Mark Murphy. We are looking forward to meeting more Packers fans from Seattle at one of our more than 2,100 Packers Everywhere establishments.”
