Packers Calendar: Last Day for Boykin to Practice This Week

The Packers wide receiver has been listed with a groin on the team's injury report.

Because the Green Bay Packers play an earlier-than-usual Thursday night football game, Wednesday will be the last day of practice of the week.

Three Packers players have been listed as "did not practice" on the team's injury report for the past two consecutive days, so Wednesday represents their last day to return to action.

Those three players are wide receiver Jarrett Boykin (groin), defensive lineman Josh Boyd (knee) and linebacker Sam Barrington (hamstring).

Boykin hasn't played since the Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions, missing the game against the Chicago Bears last week.

And if Boyd doesn't play, that leaves the Packers with only four healthy true defensive linemen on their roster.

The Packers will release a gameday status projection on Wednesday, listing their injured players as either out, doubtful, questionable or probable for the upcoming game.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will also hold his final press conference in advance of Thursday's game following practice, which will be streamed live at roughly 12:45 p.m. CT on Packers.com.

In the evening, the Brandon Bostick Show can be heard, featuring the Packers tight end, on 107.5 FM and 1400 AM WDUZ in Green Bay, as well as streamed online at TheFan1075.com.

Cornerback Davon House will be the show's guest, according to the station's Twitter account.

Yup...

There has been 2 players in the last 2 years I was hoping the Packers would get on the 53 so they didn't lose them. Rolle this year and Charles Johnson last year.

Sucks...

Charles Johnson doesn't seem to have been much of a loss, in hindsight.

(I think I've found your twitter account...)

yeah, I mean with this years draft I don't think its a huge, huge loss, But I still liked him.
I haven't paid attention to how he is doing, but I know in the preseason he was doing well for the Browns.

To me, the biggest mistake Thompson did on the 53 man roster is keeping Goodson and letting Rolle go.

Shoot me a message.

What the deal with Bostick? Was hoping he'd have an impact this year, and now apparently healthy. It's not like they have a Jimmy Graham out there..

Great question.
He is the closest thing they have to Finley on the roster. I like Quarless and what i have seen from Rodgers (who needs to be used more in the passing game), but Bostick does add a play making ability that they don't have right now. Rodgers might provide that, but to this point we haven't seen him used much.

I was hoping to see Bostick play. I think he can help and contribute. Adding another Weapon for Rodgers to use.
